Fashionably footloose kick off spring carnival in style at Caulfield Guineas

Caulfield Guineas is traditionally a day when the fashion takes a back seat to the group 1 racing but on Saturday, the style gave the four-legged stars a run for their money. As fashion’s first real test of what’s to come for the spring carnival, racegoers took advantage of the mild weather and relatively relaxed dress code to experiment with bold prints and floaty silhouettes. Flower power rules at Randwick for Spring Champion Stakes Day

Royal Randwick was overrun with more florals than the Chelsea Flower Show on Saturday for the Spring Champion Stakes Day.  Patterns and paisley were the odds on favourite in the style stakes inside the VIP enclosure, The Stables, and ended up dominating the space where sponsor Moët & Chandon had free flowing pink champagne on ice for racing royalty like Emma Freedman and social media monarchs like Steph Claire Smith, Nadia Fairfax and Lisa Hamilton.   Photo gallery Randwick for Spring Champion Stakes Day Milliner Viktoria Novak dazzled the retinas of many…

Kylie Kwong's spring stir-fries

In all of my dishes, both at home and in the restaurant, the No 1 focus is always the raw ingredient. I like to source the highest quality raw ingredient then cook it simply to allow its natural flavour and character to come through. I guess I cook like I am as a person – I prefer getting straight to the point! Both dishes can be prepared well in advance, yet both must be cooked-to-order.
