Oxford student Oliver Mears rape case dropped by CPS

The case against an Oxford University student who had a rape charge “hanging over his head” for two years has been dropped on the eve of his trial. Oliver Mears had been on bail since his arrest on suspicion of rape and sexual assault in July 2015, when he was 17. John Worboys: 'No plans' to review rape cases

Almost 100 unprosecuted cases against sex attacker John Worboys will not be reviewed by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), it has emerged. Lawyers representing Worboys’ victims asked the CPS to review the 93 cases that the 60-year-old rapist was not prosecuted over. Actor Sylvester Stallone has denied an allegation of rape after police in California opened an investigation. Santa Monica police said they were examining a complaint of sexual misconduct dating from the 1990s. The Rocky star said the allegation was “completely fabricated”.
