News: Ryanair UK pilots vote to accept pay offer

Pilots at all 15 Ryanair UK pilot bases – including London Stansted which had previously rejected an improved pay deal – have voted to accept pay increases of up to 20 per cent. Following the decision, increases will be paid next week in the January payroll.  It comes as the low-cost carrier seeks to diffuse tensions with staff as demand for pilots continues to grow. North Korea accepts Olympics talks offer, says South

North Korea has accepted an offer to attend high-level talks next week, South Korean officials have said. The meeting, on 9 January, will focus on finding a way for North Korean athletes to attend the Winter Olympic Games in South Korea in February. Women and girls in the UK transitioning to become men should be able to have their eggs frozen by the NHS, the British Fertility Society has said. Current guidance says cancer patients should be given the chance to preserve their fertility before undergoing treatment that can make them infertile. News: Monarch slot deal sees British Airways offer biggest Gatwick season in a decade

British Airways stepping its operations at Gatwick, with summer 2018 is set to see the airline’s biggest schedule there in almost a decade.
