Rock icon Tom Petty dead after cardiac arrest: reports

Rock icon Tom Petty has died aged 66 in California, according to CBS News, which reported the Los Angeles Police Department had confirmed the singer’s death. The 66-year-old was taken to UCLA Santa Monica Hospital after being found unconscious at his Malibu home after suffering a cardiac arrest. He had been taken off life support, TMZ reported.
