Bill banning Down syndrome abortions heads to Ohio governor

Ohio lawmakers have taken a major step toward making it a crime for a doctor to perform an abortion based on a diagnosis of Down syndrome. Two other states have passed similar prohibitions in an expanding national push that’s triggered emotional debate over women’s rights and the trust between doctor and patient. $450m 'Da Vinci painting' heads to Louvre Abu Dhabi

Poldark actor Aidan Turner is to swap his scythe for a cut-throat razor in a new stage production that will see him play a psychotic Irish terrorist. The 34-year-old will make his West End debut next year in The Lieutenant of Inishmore, a violently dark comedy by the Oscar-winning Martin McDonagh.
