Northampton secured back-to-back wins in all competitions for the first time since September as they inflicted a first Champions Cup defeat of the season on Clermont Auvergne. Sophie Lionnet death: Couple admit burning French nanny's body

A couple who deny murdering a French nanny have admitted they tried to dispose of her body by burning it. The charred remains of Sophie Lionnet, 21, were discovered in the garden at a house in Southfields on 20 September. Police were initially unable to identify the body but later confirmed it was Ms Lionnet, originally from Troyes in north-east France. French school bus in fatal train crash

A train and a school bus have collided near Perpignan in south France, leaving at least three dead, reports say. Another nine people were reported to be injured on the bus, seven of them seriously in the incident between Millas and Saint-Feliu-d’Amont.
