British IS recruiter Sally-Anne Jones was reportedly killed in a US drone strike in Syria in June. Jones, 48, who had no previous military training, joined so-called Islamic State after she converted to Islam and travelled to Syria in 2013. Syria conflict: US jet 'downs Iranian-made drone'

A US jet has shot down an Iranian-made drone operated by forces backing the Syrian government in the south of the country, American officials say. The drone was thought to be armed and threatening US-led coalition troops on the ground, officials said.
