The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s New Pay Policy Diminishes New York City

There are two ways to buy admission to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You can approach one of the lobby’s ticket counters, where an employee will take any amount of money you wish to pay, or you can purchase a ticket for the full suggested admission price—twenty-five dollars for an adult, seventeen for seniors, twelve for students—at a vending machine or in advance online.
