Former WWE Women’s Champion Ivory has become the latest inductee to the Hall of Fame class of 2018.
In a career spanning twenty years, Ivory – real name Lisa Moretti – broke into the bussiness in 1986 and went on to hold the WWF/E Women’s Title three times during the early 2000s.
She began her wrestling career as part of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, the 1980s TV show that has since inspried the hit Netflix series GLOW. Under the name Tina Ferrai she was crowned the promotion’s champion before taking a break from the squared circle.
A decade later, Ivory resurfaced in WWE, when she showed up in the corner of D’Lo Brown and Mark Henry. She would then go on to become an integral part of the company’s women’s division; winning her first WWE Women’s Championship from Debra and then trading blows and title reigns with The Fabulous Moolah.
Ivory is perhaps best remembered for her time as the female lead in Right to Censor, a faction that sort to outlaw all of WWE’s outlandish output during it’s popular Attitude era. Under this guise she enjoyed what was the pinnicale of her career, when she defended her Women’s title at WrestleMania against Chyna.
She continued to compete in WWE up until 2005 before taking on other roles in the company, including a stint as a trainer of WWE Tough Enough, until her departure in 2009.
